Each and every year, the unveiling of the LG G series smartphone is one of the most popular of the year, and the 2017 reveal of the LG G7 will surely become an international hit. The 7th installment in the famed series is already getting a lot of attention which is especially amazing considering there’s still plenty of time left. Introducing what many believe will be LG’s best flagship yet, and one of the best smartphones of 2018.
We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors on the upcoming LG G7 which is set to rival the Samsung Galaxy S9 and many other high-end smartphones. The G series has undergone many changes over the years which make it no surprise with what we’re hearing about so far. With improvements in virtually every aspect including more speed, improved camera specs, high-end features, and more variants to choose from.
In the following LG G7 preview, we take a closer look at the numerous rumors, specs, features, concept, price, preorders, and release date broken down by the country giving you the best information on things to come.
LG G7 Rumors
The latest rumors on the LG G7 suggest it will be launched alongside a premium, larger variant. In years past, LG has launched a G Plus variant much longer, but as they look at one of the other Android manufacturers they are looking to gain the upper hand. With Samsung looking to launch the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Edge, LG will be looking to launch a second version of the G7 the same time. It’s also a big rumor that LG G7 will come with three or four different color variants.
An LG G7 Plus or Premium is expected to come in at 5.10-inches which will be significantly larger than the standard G7 which we’re hearing will be 5.4-inches. While this has yet to be confirmed, it makes the most sense considering the following that LG has lost over the years with the emergence of start-ups out of China such as Xiaomi, OnePlus and many others. We are expecting that upcoming LG G7 will come with IR Blaster which will be good for those people who used remote devices in their daily routine.
We’re also hearing that the G7 will also feature many new features which include eye sensing mobile technology and a more durable, bendable display. Comparable to the G Flex series which disappeared years ago, the G7 would offer a flexible surround which would absorb impacts giving users a much more secure handset.
LG G7 Specs
Some of the biggest improvements in the specs departments are more RAM, camera pixels, memory options, battery power, and a faster processor. The next generation of Gorilla Glass will also be found onboard improving the screen significantly. Giving users a nearly unbreakable screen will mean less worrying while giving you the ability to do more of what you do best.
Some of the most notable enhancements include 6GB RAM 4K screen resolution, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 SoC, non-removable 3500 mAh battery. It is the latest rumor that LG G7 Camera will be more attractive than LG G6 camera because of its big rumor that LG G7 will have a 22MP primary camera, and a 12MP front facing camera.

Probably the single most popular feature will be an iris scanner. This is garnering a lot of attention as the days of fingerprint scanners are long gone, and with manufacturers finally perfecting the next gen technology, expect to see an eye scanner in both G7 variants.
Other features include the next generation of Corning Gorilla Glass. Offering a glass-like surface that acts more like a rubberized surface, those prone to dropping their handset will now have the piece of mind of real security. The new Gorilla Glass which is proven to be in the process for quite some time now will prove to be well worth the wait.
Let’s not forget expandable memory with dual micro SD card slots, waterproof, shockproof, and all the sensors we’ve come to expect in a flagship.
